"Look, there's Jesus, go tell the Romans."

(Sorry I have not been updating as frequently. I have been working on some new layouts and testing some new layouts. I am looking at moving the blog to another location but you will be informed of the move. Nothing is set in stone yet. I still have some kinks to work out. But stay tuned for more updates on new layouts.)

Last year he was referred to as Man-Genius. This year the names are not so congenial. After calling out his mentor, Bill Belichick, the best words to describe the guy have been: rat, snitch, outlaw, Brutus. Feel free to add more words as you deem fit.

Even with snow and wind in the forecast the Pats have an over abundance of motivation to go out and annihilate the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets, in their second go around of the season. There should be a disclaimer on this game because it is going to be ugly.

The broadcast you are about to watch is pretty graphic. If you are squeamish or suffer from high-anxiety at the sight of pain, anguish and suffering then I have to inform you to look away. The upcoming show is going to be full of one-sided torture.

Even though the Jets are still a professional, NFL franchise and capable of beating the Pats, I do not see that happening. New York is just not as talented as the Patriots. They do not have the secondary that can cover the likes of Randy Moss, Donte Stallworth and Wes Welker.

Tom Brady is going to pick apart the Jets defense and find his go-to guys. I would not be surprised to see the Pats put up 42 points even with the weather conditions, but I do think that Laurence Maroney is going to be running on these guys all day. It will be good for Maroney and bad for the Jets. The game will give Maroney the confidence he needs that he can rack up the big yards like the rest of the running backs in the league.

On defense the Pats will still need to step up. They played good defense against the Steelers by not letting Willie Parker break out any big runs. They will need to do this again tomorrow with Thomas Jones in the backfield. Stop Jones and put the ball in Kellen Clemens’s hands. Clemens might be better than Chad Pennington but he ranks up there with Kyle Boller and Joey Harrington. (On the bright side, fans at Gillette will have a field day with his name. Any relation to Roger? His name does begin with a “K.”)

With snow and wind in the weather forecast, I foresee Maroney running for one touchdown, Brady to Moss for three, Brady to Welker for one and Brady runs in one for his second of the year. Brady ties Manning’s touchdown record at 49 with a 39-point victory over the hapless Jets.

PATRIOTS 42

Jets 3
